WelCOME TO

THE SINGAPORE COFFEE ASSOCIATION

Terms & Conditions

1. About the Campaign

1.1 The Singapore People’s Choice Café Awards of the Year 2026 (“Campaign”) is organised by Singapore Coffee Association (“SCA” or “Organiser”) in conjunction with Singapore Coffee Week 2026 (“SCW”).

1.2 The Campaign recognises cafés operating in Singapore based entirely on verified public votes, with the primary focus on the coffee they serve.

1.3 By submitting the participation form for this campaign, the participating café and its authorised representative agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility and Entry

2.1 Participation is free and open to café brands with at least one physical outlet operating in Singapore and serving coffee to the public.

2.2 The café must be open for business at the time of nomination and remain operational at the announcement of results.

2.3 Each café brand may submit only one entry. Brands with multiple outlets will participate as a single brand, with votes combined under that brand.

2.4 Participation form must be submitted or authorised by the café owner or a representative authorised to act on the café’s behalf.

2.5 Participation form must be submitted here by 20 October 2026 11:59pm Singapore Time (SGT).

2.6 Submission does not guarantee acceptance. Participation is subject to eligibility checks and confirmation by SCA. SCA may request supporting information and decline incomplete, inaccurate, duplicate or ineligible entries.

3. Café Information

3.1 Participating cafés must provide accurate information, including their brand name, outlet address or addresses, contact details and any requested logo, photographs or café description.

3.2 The submitting representative confirms that they have permission to provide these materials and authorise their use under these Terms & Conditions.

3.3 Cafés must promptly notify SCA of material changes, including closure, rebranding or changes affecting eligibility.

3.4 Approved cafés will be included in the official voting platform and Singapore Café Map using information supplied or verified during registration.

4. Public Voting

4.1 Public online voting opens on 1 November 2026 at 10:00am SGT and closes on 8 November 2026 at 12:00pm SGT.

4.2 Onsite voting will be available during SCW from 5 November 2026, during event opening hours until voting closes on 8 November 2026 at 12:00pm SGT.

4.3 Each person may submit only one ballot across online and onsite voting combined. A verified Singapore mobile number is required, and each verified number may be used for only one ballot. Using multiple numbers to submit additional ballots is prohibited.

4.4 Each voter may select one, two or three different participating café brands. Each selected café receives one equal vote. There is no ranking or weighted scoring.

4.5 Selections cannot be changed after submission.

4.6 Voters should base their selections primarily on their personal enjoyment of the café’s coffee, its consistency and whether they would recommend it to others. Ambience, food, service, location and brand popularity are not intended to be the primary voting criteria.

5. Campaigning and Fair Conduct

5.1 Cafés may encourage customers and their communities to vote through their outlets, websites, social media and other lawful promotional channels.

5.2 Voting requests must encourage genuine, voluntary choices based primarily on the voter’s experience of the café’s coffee.

5.3 Cafés must not offer, arrange or promise payments, gifts, discounts, complimentary items, prize-draw entries or other benefits in exchange for voting or selecting a particular café.

5.4 Cafés must not purchase votes, submit ballots on another person’s behalf, collect verification codes, use automated voting tools, create fabricated identities or otherwise manipulate voting.

5.5 Cafés are responsible for ensuring that employees, agencies and other persons campaigning on their behalf comply with these rules.

5.6 Campaign materials must be accurate and must not imply that participation guarantees an award or constitutes an endorsement by SCA. Official logos and promotional assets must be used in accordance with any supplied usage guidelines.

6. Vote Verification and Breaches

6.1 All votes are subject to verification by SCA.

6.2 Where duplicate submissions are identified, the first valid completed ballot will be retained and subsequent duplicate submissions removed.

6.3 SCA may exclude votes reasonably determined to be automated, fabricated, purchased, manipulated, submitted through unauthorised methods or otherwise contrary to the voting rules.

6.4 SCA may investigate suspected breaches and request relevant information from participating cafés. Where reasonably practicable, an affected café will have an opportunity to respond before disqualification.

6.5 SCA may suspend or disqualify a café, remove affected votes or withdraw recognition where a material breach is established. Suspicious votes alone do not establish misconduct by the café receiving them.

6.6 Results will be based on the final verified vote count. SCA’s decisions on eligibility, ballot validity and award placement will be final for the administration of the Campaign, subject to applicable law.

7. Results and Ties

7.1 The café with the highest verified vote total will receive the title “The Singapore People’s Choice Café Awards of the Year 2026.”

7.2 Cafés occupying the ten highest positions, including the overall winner, will be recognised as “Singapore’s Top 10 People’s Choice Cafés 2026.”

7.3 Cafés with equal verified vote totals will share the same position.

7.4 Cafés tied for first place will be recognised as joint winners, unless SCA establishes another tie-break rule before voting begins. All cafés tied at tenth place will receive joint tenth-place recognition, so the recognised group may contain more than ten cafés.

7.5 Results are scheduled to be announced at SCW on 8 November 2026, approximately at 5pm, following verification. SCA will confirm the ceremony time separately and may delay the announcement if additional verification is necessary.

8. Winner Recognition and Benefits

8.1 The overall winner will receive:

An official winner’s trophy and certificate.

A “People’s Choice Café Awards of the Year 2026” digital badge.

A feature on SCA and SCW platforms and inclusion in the media announcement.

A complimentary individual booth at SCW 2027.

A prominent position in the 2027 winners’ campaign.

8.2 Other cafés recognised within the Top 10 will receive:

A Top 10 trophy or certificate, as specified by SCA.

A “Singapore’s Top 10 People’s Choice Cafés 2026” digital badge.

A feature on SCA and SCW platforms.

Inclusion in the designated café pavilion at SCW 2027, with a complimentary counter or allocated space within the shared pavilion.

8.3 Booth and pavilion benefits are subject to SCW 2027 taking place and recipients complying with the applicable exhibitor requirements. SCA will provide written details of the space, included facilities, participation deadlines and any optional charges.

8.4 Unless expressly included in writing, staffing, transport, stock, equipment and other operating expenses remain the recipient’s responsibility. No additional chargeable services will be committed on a recipient’s behalf without its agreement.

8.5 Benefits are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Any necessary substitution will be communicated with reasons and, where reasonably practicable, will be of comparable value.

9. Publicity and Use of Materials

9.1 The café grants SCA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, display and reasonably adapt its submitted brand name, logo, photographs and description for administering and promoting the Campaign, publishing results, maintaining the Singapore Café Map and promoting the associated SCW 2027 winner activities.

9.2 Adaptations may include resizing, cropping and formatting, but must not materially misrepresent the café or its brand. Ownership of submitted materials remains with their respective owners.

9.3 SCA may retain published Campaign content as a historical record. Use in unrelated future campaigns will require separate permission.

9.4 Award recipients may use their official title and supplied badge in accordance with SCA’s usage guidelines. References must clearly identify the award year as 2026 and must not imply recognition for another year.

10. Personal Data

10.1 Personal data provided during registration will be collected, used and disclosed as described in [privacy notice link], for purposes including verifying entries, contacting representatives, administering the Campaign and arranging award benefits.

10.2 SCA may share necessary information with service providers supporting these activities, subject to appropriate data protection arrangements.

10.3 Public café listings will use designated business information. Personal contact information supplied solely for administration will not be published without an appropriate basis.

10.4 Any optional consent to receive unrelated marketing communications will be requested separately.

10.5 Personal data enquiries and requests may be directed to info@sca.org.sg.

11. Withdrawal and Changes

11.1 Cafés wishing to withdraw must contact info@sca.org.sg before 19 Oct 2026, 11.59pm SGT. Withdrawal are not allowed after voting opens. All votes are not transferable to other café brand.

11.2 SCA may make reasonable changes necessary to address technical issues, legal requirements or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Material changes will be communicated through official channels and, where practicable, directly to participating cafés.

12. General

12.1 Participation does not guarantee any minimum number of votes, publicity reach, sales or other commercial outcomes.

12.2 Each café bears its own voluntary participation and promotional expenses.

12.3 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12.4 Award Administration and Decisions

SCA reserves the sole authority to administer the Awards, interpret and apply these Terms & Conditions, and determine matters concerning eligibility, participation, vote validity, suspected misconduct, disqualification and award results. SCA may investigate complaints, request supporting information and take appropriate action in accordance with these Terms & Conditions. Acting reasonably and in good faith, SCA’s decisions on these matters shall be final and binding for the purposes of the Awards, subject to applicable law.

12.5 Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any complaint or dispute must first be submitted in writing to SCA at info@sca.org.sg for review and resolution. Any unresolved legal dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
