Bring Singapore ingredients to life with vibrant natural colours and bold, layered flavours.

We’re looking for original, first-time creations that are fresh, innovative and ahead of the trends.

COMPETITION FORMAT

Choose one category: Specialty Milk Tea, Fruit & Vegetable Drinks, or Creative Coffee. Use two sponsored ingredients from different sponsoring brands and one sponsored equipment item.

Create a drink inspired by “Color Charm & Taste Journey”. The category of drink must be different from the one chosen for the Designation competition. Use at least two sponsored ingredients from different sponsoring brands and one sponsored equipment item.

Time:

20 mins per round (8 mins preparation and cleaning, followed by 12 mins of competition time).

Requirements:

• Choose a different drink type for each round; one must be a coffee beverage.
• Prepare six servings of one drink per round: five for the judges and one for display.
• Each serving must contain at least 150 ml of liquid, including blended ice, with consistent ingredients, recipe and volume.
• Provide at least two matching complete presentation sets: one to be placed on the display table and the other at the judges’ table for display.
• Drinks may be served hot or cold. No alcohol-containing ingredients are permitted.

WHO CAN ENTER

• Participants should be aged 18 or above, have an interest in drinks research and development, and possess the ability to independently create or develop drinks.
• Hold valid Singapore identification or a passport, or provide proof of at least 12 months of residence or employment in Singapore.

REGISTRATION & FEES

• SCA Members: Free registration.
• Non-SCA Members: S$50.
• Registration status will be emailed within 3–5 business days after registration closes.
• Credit card authorisation is required at registration, with no charge at that point.
• Withdrawal without a valid reason incurs a SGD 100 fee, including for SCA members. Paid registration fees are non-refundable for withdrawal due to personal reasons; exceptional cases are reviewed by the organisers.

KEY RULES & REQUIREMENTS

• Recipes must be original and presented for the first time.
• Drinks must be prepared on-site. Excessive pre-preparation may incur deductions; special preparation processes must be declared in the official SOP.
• Submit complete recipes by 30 October 2026 and promptly notify the organisers of changes.
• Attend the compulsory competitor briefing and arrive 60 minutes before preparation time. Failure to arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand results in a zero score for that round.
• One assistant may help during preparation and cleaning. Competitors must work independently during the competition.
• Follow sponsor selection and branding rules, and maintain proper food safety and hygiene.
• Overtime incurs one penalty point per 30 seconds or part thereof. Reaching three minutes of overtime ends the performance and removes eligibility for ranking and advancement.
• Competitors authorise promotional use of their submitted recipes and organiser-recorded event media.

PRIZES & ADVANCEMENT

The top three competitors receive certificates, trophies and cash prizes, and qualify for the 2027 World Fashion Drinks Competition at HOTELEX Shanghai, China, taking place from 30 March to 2 April 2027.

Singapore Division prize money is paid after the world competition and is conditional on qualified winners participating. Winners must also attend the Singapore award ceremony to claim their award.

Champion: S$1,000 + Bonus CNY5,000

Runner-up: S$600 + Bonus CNY2,000

Third place: S$300 + Bonus CNY1,000
